Victor Frederick Bennett, born January 26, 1950, in Peoria, Illinois, to Elmer and Roberta (Wotton) Bennett, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, from a lengthy struggle with dementia. at Cedar Creek Assisted Living in East Bethel, MN. He was 75 years, 5 months, and 27 days old. A service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Oak Grove, MN. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., with services at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow service. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pekin, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in his honor to St. Patrick's General Fund, 19921 Nightingale St NW, Oak Grove, MN 55011 (763) 753-2011.

Vic was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Peoria and attended Pekin Community High School and Illinois Central College. On August 3, 1969, Vic married Jacqueline Singleton at St. John's Lutheran Church in Green Valley, Illinois. They have 3 married children and 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Stanley Bennett, and a sister, Donna Matheny. Vic is survived by his spouse Jackie, children Theresa (Lon) Miller, Angela (Mack) Dobbie, and Jody (Doug) Parsons; grandchildren, Jonathan Berg, Sable Dobbie, Aidan Dobbie, David Parsons, and Mateo Parsons; sister, Naomi (Ron) Smith; and other relatives and friends.

Vic found great pleasure in geo-caching, his church, and riding his bike, often sharing adventures with his grandchildren and anyone else he could persuade to trek around the countryside with him in search of a 'cache.' He was an active member at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Oak Grove. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, participating willingly in the yearly fish fries and many other community activities. He was both a 3rd and 4th Degree life member. He will be remembered as a man of faith, a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
