Obituary of Victor Allen Donahue
"It is with great sadness that the family of Victor (Vic) Allen Donahue announces his passing on Monday, July 24, 2023, at the age of 82 years. He died at his Lexington home with his family by his side.
Vic was born on October 31, 1940 the son of William and Grace Virginia Donahue in Wilmore, Kentucky.
Before retiring, he was a longtime cook and kitchen manager in the service industry. Vic lived a relaxed life through simple pleasures; enjoying time with friends and family, listening to country music, and watching sports. He loved cooking, cowboy westerns, telling a good joke, and always put others before himself. He is and will be deeply missed.
Vic will be lovingly remembered by his "Rock" of 38 years, Cornelia Bates and his children, Kenneth Bates, Victoria Renee and Victor David Donahue, and Ronnie Allen Donahue. He will also be fondly remembered by his nephew, Joseph Knight.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Patterson; and his grandchildren Noah and Emma.
Vic was predeceased by his brother, Ronnie Donahue; his sisters Peggy Joyce Crowe, Kathleen (Kathy) Donahue, and Deloras Janet Knight.
Services will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Vic Donahue to Bluegrass Care Navigators ().
