Victor Dunlap Obituary
He was born on February 21, 1948, to the late Victor and Joan (Robnolte) Dunlap in Defiance, Ohio. On August 9, 1986, he married Sandra Withers who survives.
Vic earned his bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and his master's degree from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan. He taught industrial arts for over 35 years, ending his career at Northeastern Local Schools. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Defiance. In his leisure time he enjoyed woodcarving, archery, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Vic is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Dunlap of Defiance, his sons, Jeff (Mary) Dunlap of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jeremy Dunlap of Walton, Kentucky, and his stepchildren, Ann (Paul) Mallett of Defiance and John (Judy) Brownlee Jr. of Westerville, Ohio. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Linda (Gary) Garritson of Columbus, Indiana, Ron (Norma) Dunlap of Chelan, Washington, Lydia (Terry) Fourman of Carmel, Indiana, and Jenny (Brent) Morrison of Lebanon, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Joan Dunlap.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Schaffer Funeral Home with Pastor Ann Wasson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
