VICTOR E. DYER

DYER, Victor E. Age 75, of Hamilton, MA, passed away on September 20, 2025. He was born in Laconia, NH to Victor and Pauline (Truchon) Dyer - a true gentlemen to all that knew him. He attended Hudson Catholic High and received his BA at Boston College and his Master of Library Science at the University of Chicago. He also earned a Certificate of Management from Harvard University Extension Victor served as co-director of the Marblehead Library and director of the Ipswich Library for 13 years. Volunteering at Brigham and Women's Hospital as a Eucharistic Minister for 30 years, rain or shine, was an important part of his spiritual life. He loved travel, books, museums, art, Cape Cod, lobster rolls, camping and party planning. He made the world more beautiful and was a man of principle based on faith. Faith, Family and Friends were primary in his life. Being an architect would have been another choice for him. He will be profoundly missed by all who loved him, and we are many. Gene is survived by his sister, Aurelie Dyer Wallach and husband, John of Biddeford, ME; his brother, Mark G. Dyer and wife, Lynn of Guilford, ME and Zephyr Hills, FL. He was uncle to Brendan Wallach of Biddeford, ME, Darren Wallach and wife, Bam of Brunswick, ME and Laura Bowen and husband, Shawn of Ipswich, MA. He is also survived by five grandnieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Paul, 50 Union St., South Hamilton, MA, on October 2, at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. An hour of Visitation will be held prior from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Laconia, NH.
