Victor Lee Ericson, 91, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood. He was born on July 15, 1933, in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Victor John and Edith (Clamer) Ericson. Victor was raised and attended school in Jacksonville, Florida area and went to technical school for welding. He worked as welder at Iowa Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids for 30 plus years.
On June 28, 1964, Victor was united in marriage to Nancy Chopard at the United Methodist Church in Edgewood. Two children were born to this union.
Victor enjoyed visiting, was collector of everything and could always tell a good story.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nancy Ericson of Edgewood; his two children, Victor John Ericson of Clearwater, Florida, and Tonya (Steven) Gould of St. George, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Elissa (McKennon) Laas and Brennan Ericson; a great-grandson, Matlock Laas; sister-in-law, Pat Chopard; nieces and nephews, Jason (Amy) Chopard, Chad (Jenn) Chopard, Heather (Josh) Bottelman, Megan (Todd) Boge, and Sean (Amber) Chopard.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Edna Chopard; brother-in-law, Paul Chopard; and nephew, Nathan Chopard.
