Victor Lamar Evans, affectionately known as Vic, was a beacon of joy, a source of laughter, and a wellspring of empathy. Born on September 26, 2001, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Victor brought his unique brand of humor and love to everyone he encountered. He was a gentle soul, always putting others before himself, even if it meant looking a little silly. Victor's love for life and people was reflected in everything he did, from his work at Total Sight Solutions to his passion for gaming, anime, and spending quality time with his friends.
Victor was a thoughtful and loving son, brother, and friend. He was a proud graduate of Navarro High School, class of 2020. His family and friends, and of course, his beloved cat, Sassy, were what mattered most to him. As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Victor had an uncanny ability to make people feel seen, cherished, and loved. His laughter and playful spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
Victor is survived by his parents, Donald Sr. and Keisha Smith, and his siblings Danielle, Donald Jr., Angel, Don'yetta, and Bre'Lynn. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Joyce Evans and Iris Cage, his grandfather Daniel Jr., and his great-grandmother Ethel Smith.
A visitation for Victor will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 3:00pm at King-Tears Mortuary, 1300 East 12th Street, Austin, Texas, 78702. A celebration of Victor's life will follow at 4:00pm at the same venue.
