Victor E Gastelum Rivera

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Victor E Gastelum Rivera, who passed away peacefully from cancer on August 4, 2025 at the age of 63. His life was a blessing and he will always be loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Born on February 9, 1962 in Mexicali Baja California, Mexico, Victor was a man of integrity, he was loyal, respectful, strong, faithful, and always gave unconditional support to his family and friends. He was a loving husband to Sylvia, a devoted and loving father to Victor, Jesus, Noel, and Sylvia Noemi, and a proud grandfather to Matthew. His family was his greatest joy, and he gave selflessly to ensure their happiness and well-being.

Victor worked as a Filter Operator for 26 years at Mission Bell Winery, where he was known for his dedication, work ethic, and kindness toward everyone he met. Outside of work, he enjoyed cooking his delicious food, camping and being outdoors, cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco Giants, watching movies, dancing to oldies music, and was always happy when spending time with those he loved. He had a sense of humor, wisdom, and a heart of gold that left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was a steady presence in the lives of many, a source of strength, and supportive through life's ups and downs. Everyone who knew and loved Victor would know that he would want his life celebrated and would want everyone to cherish special memories of him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Jay Chapel located at 1121 Roberts Ave, Madera, CA 93637 from 3:00pm-6:00pm, following with the Rosary from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

The following day; Friday, August 29, 2025 at Saint Joachim's Catholic Church, 401 W 5th St, Madera, CA 93637 will be the mass at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 28447 Avenue 14, Madera, CA 93638.
