Age 60, of Joliet, IL passed from this life Monday evening October 10, 2022. He was born May 9, 1962 in Joliet to Carmen Hernandez and Sam Gutierrez. He had resided in the Joliet area his entire life.
In addition to his mother and father, he is also survived by his children, Samantha (Timothy) Webb, Summer Rae Davis, Justin Duckmanton, Victor Gutierrez, Jr., Christina (Angel) Gutierrez-Padro, Markeeta Webber, Joseph Webber, Anthony Bendey, Samuel Sabin, Carmen Bendey and son-in-law, Gary Olds; former partner and long time friend, Theresa Raymond; many grandkids survive as well as siblings, Aida (Sal) Gutierrez, Fernando (Patricia) Lopez, Mario (Dottie) Lopez, Letty Franchini, Sue (Humberto) Salcedo, JoAnne (David) Campos, Carmen (Domingo) Contreras, Robert (Melinda) Gutierrez and Jerry (Patty) Gutierrez. Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his sons, Vincent and Christopher in infancy and Jeremy "Jerry" Carr; brothers, Sam Gutierrez, David Gutierrez and nephews, Christopher Salazar and Michael Anderson.
"Modo" a hard worker, was a landscaper, roofer and mechanic. He loved fishing and could cook with the best of them. He will be remembered for his huge heart and the deep love he held for his family, especially the grandkids.
As it was Modo's wish cremation rites have been accorded.
A joint Memorial Mass for Victor and his brother, David who passed earlier this year, will be celebrated on Friday October 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, 706 N. Broadway St., Joliet. All friends and relatives can gather in the Nativity Room (next to the Church) from 10:00 a.m. Friday morning until just before Mass begins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to benefit his grandchildren's education would be appreciated.
