Victor Alan Hall, 73, passed away on November 2, 2025, after a courageous fight with leukemia. He was born in Hinton, Oklahoma, to Richard and Joyce Hall, and spent most of his life in service to others, first as a police officer with the Arlington Police Department for over 30 years, then as a park ranger in the backcountry office at Rocky Mountain National Park, where he spent nine beloved summers after retirement.

Victor had a gift for making people feel valued and welcome. His friendly, accepting presence and his humble way of treating everyone as his equal earned him respect from colleagues and strangers alike. He was protective of those he loved, wearing that vigilance lightly, with humor and warmth.

He never lost his childlike wonder at the natural world. He could identify birds by their calls, and would often stop what he was doing to point out painted buntings, a hummingbird, or bluebird. He loved the land he and his wife Diane tended together, where his perfect day meant checking the rain gauge, walking the trails, mending fences, and watching the deer he loved far more than hunting them.

Victor had a playful spirit and refused to "act his age." He greeted people with easy humor, always ready to make someone laugh. He was generous with his time and help, whether with neighbors, friends, or the strangers he met along the way.

Victor was married to Diane Hall for 53 extraordinary years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the quiet rhythms of caring for each other and the land they loved. He was a devoted father to his son, Timothy; and daughter, Jeanne; teaching them by example what it means to do right by others.

He is also survived by his sister, Stephanie; his brother, Vance and sister-in-law, Marilyn; his niece, Kristin; and nephew, Brian; and his brother-in-law, James.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his integrity, his youthful humor, his gentle hands and watchful eyes, and the way he made the world feel a little safer and more welcoming just by being in it.
