Victor Host Obituary
Victor worked as an Engineer designing Molded Parts for various companies for over 20 years and later in his career applied those engineering skills to his role as a Construction Project Manager. While growing up Victor spent many of his summers camping with family and friends at Lake Winnipesauke in NH, and that love continued into his adult life. When he wasn't working or camping he was enjoying his time sailing around Little Narragansett Bay, RI on his sailboat.
Victor is survived by his former wife Alice Host (Ogden), stepdaughter Michelle Melendez (Blevin) and Felix and 2 granddaughters, his sister Lori Hnatiuk (Host) and Edward (Chip), two nephews and one niece.
A graveside service for friends and family will be held at 11:00 Friday Dec. 19th at Union Cemetery at 154 Pendleton Hill Rd, North Stonington, CT 06359. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Victor's name to American Cancer Society. Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, RI 02891 is assisting the family with arrangements.

Condolences and may he now rest in peace. John Peabody will be waiting and may the road rise up to meet them. The 1966 corvair will be the chariot.

My heart is heavy to hear and feel the loss of an old childhood and family friend. It's been quite some time since we have seen or talked with each other, but never, never forgotten. Soooo many memories of you come to mind. One of them is something so silly, and I don't even know how it started, but we always greeted each other with a hug and saying, "You're the biggest fool of all fools if there ever was a fool!" :)

I am saddened to hear of Victor's illness and passing. He was one of the first students I met when I started working at Wheeler as he and John Peabody saw a new "mark" and came to recruit me to chaperone their first dance of the year. From that point on, though I didn't have them as students, they visited often to share a joke or ask a question. My condolences to his family, but take heart in knowing that his suffering is over. Treasure your memories to always keep him alive in your hearts.
