He was born November 6, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Arno and Lila (Kauppinen) Juntunen. Victor was a United States Army veteran.
Victor was transferred to Muncie in 1988 by Ball Corporation, most recently Ardagh. He retired as a Director of Technical Services in 2014 after 42 years of service.
Victor was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs and University of Arizona fan, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie Juntunen, Lafayette, IN; children, Dennis (Elodia) Kukla, Delray Beach, FL; Amanda (Matthew) Cox, Lafayette, IN; Aimee (Kyle) Scanlon, Oviedo, FL; and Ryan Juntunen, Yorktown, IN; four grandchildren, Isabella and Emma Juntunen and Lucas and Tyler Cox; one brother, Mark (Linda) Juntunen, Evergreen, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration gathering will be held from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Road, Muncie, IN. A reception at the mortuary will immediately follow the visitation at 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284, or the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
