Victor Lee Lonnon was a devoted husband, loving Father, tireless provider and faithful, follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. The center of his life was his Catholic faith, his loving wife of 49 years, 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. As a Husband, he cherished his wife and loved her with every fiber of his being. He always referred to he and Charleen as a team; united for one another, their children and their salvation. As a Father, he spent every available hour playing ball, taking his sons to games and just being a loving Dad in all matters great and small. He was a softspoken, genuine, sweetheart that treated everyone he encountered with kindness and dignity. To provide for his family, he worked for 37 years in the Circulation Department at The Courier Journal. He took such great pride in his children and grandchildren and talked about them day and night to everyone he encountered. In his later years when his health began to decline, he always remained positive with a spirit of gratitude for the many gifts God had given him. The simplest things such as Breakfast every morning with Charleen or watching a Reds game with his family brought him so much joy. He was so very loved by his family and while we give thanks for his 79 years of life, we selfishly wish we had more. He was such a good man. If there was ever a man destined for Heaven, he would be it. He passed away on the morning of Wednesday, September 10 with his family at his bedside. Although stricken with grief from his passing, his family rejoices in a life well lived and a life to come in Eternity with Our Lord. A very sincere thanks to Dr. Matthew Jung, Dr. Ignacio Montes, Dr. Boutros El-Haddad and many others for the many years of care and support. With their efforts and the Grace of God, we were granted the gift of extra time with our loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. Vic is preceded in death by his parents Victor Joseph and Kathleen and survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Charleen, sons Chris (& wife, Julie), and Andy (& wife, Nicole) along with his four grandchildren, Sophia, Jackson, Maria and Dominic Victor.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM, with a Rosary Service preceding at 9:00 AM September 17, 2025 at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 So. 6th St., Louisville, Kentucky. with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
