Victor Eugene Privett, 82, passed away at his home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born in Lexington on December 28, 1942, to the late Eugene Privett and Ina Crawford Privett. Victor had worked as a farm hand for much of his life. After retirement, he was able to enjoy his love for running by participating in numerous marathons. He also loved cycling on mountain trails and he was an avid U.K. fan. He is survived by his son, Michael Privett (Christy); daughters, Mary Privett (Jenny) and Sandra Horton (Therrol); brothers, Edward Privett and William “Willie” Privett (Wanda); sister, Margaret Freeman; as well as six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 28, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bishop David Marsee officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service, Friday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Victor and his family in their time of need.
