JoAnn Hoffman, 68, of Lancaster, KY, passed away on March 2, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on February 6, 1958, in New Haven, CT, to Arthur and Jean Mansfield. In 1993, she relocated with her family to Lancaster, KY but she never lost her love for good Connecticut pizza.
She was a devoted wife to Jim Hoffman. She was a loving mother to Brian, Jennifer, their spouses Amy and Paul, and was grateful to gain Travis Hoffman and his wife Beverly as part of her family.
She was an incredibly proud grandmother to Izzy, Owen, Megan, and Amanda. Her grandkids were the light of her life, and she loved them fiercely.
She also adored her two Yorkies, Gibbs and Ziva, who brought her constant joy and companionship.
Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year. She was famous for buying Christmas presents nearly a year in advance, always planning ahead to make the holidays special for the people she loved.
She had a special talent for bringing people together around food, whether it was a traditional holiday meal or a gathering she dreamed up herself. Her homemade spaghetti sauce was especially famous among family and friends.
More than anything, she will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her grandkids, hummingbirds, the beach, great food, and the little traditions that brought people together.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and two siblings, Ellen and Paul.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Pam, Jean, Sandy, and Scott.
Her family encourages those who knew her to honor her memory in a way she would have loved: gather with the people you care about, share a good meal, and celebrate the moments that matter most.
This obituary was submitted by her family, and Betts & West Funeral is honored to serve Joann and her family.
