Victor "Vic" Stenroos

Victor "Vic" Stenroos passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022, at the age of 74 in Brighton, Colorado, with his wife, Joi, by his side. He had courageously battled cancer for three years. Vic was born on April 22, 1948, in San Franciso, CA.
He was a Sea Scout during his high school days and after graduation was drafted in April 1968 into the Army. He completed his tour in Vietnam in November 1969 with the 1st Battalion, 321st Artillery, 101st Airborne Division. Vic earned a Bronze Star and also an Army Commendation Medal. After serving in the military, he was an over-the-road truck driver for several years.
Vic married Joi in 1980, in South Carolina and then moved back to Denver, Colorado in 1981. He was an electrician by trade and then went back to truck driving for 28 years for Fraser Trucking, Aurora, Colorado, before retiring in 2018.
Vic had a passion for cars, drag racing and Corvettes. He fulfilled his dream of owning a Vette in 2015, when he purchased a 2004 ZO6 Corvette which he named "Silver Streak." Along with memorable and fast road trips in his Vette, Vic also had a love of the ocean and enjoyed scuba diving with his family. His favorite vacation and diving spots were Oahu, Hawaii and Key Largo, Florida.
Vic was preceded in death by his father, Walter V. Stenroos, mother, Dolores Rodriguez Stenroos and sister, Geovanna Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Joi Stenroos, son Eric (Donna) Stenroos, daughter Kathy (Mike) Cereghino, daughter Bridgette Stenroos, grandchildren Madison Willems, Ethen Stenroos, Camryn Cereghino, Kyle Cereghino, great grandchild Saylor Cereghino and niece Ruth Covington.
