Victor Stora Obituary

Victor Stora, 87, former longtime resident of Great Kills, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 in New Port Richey, Florida.
Born Tuesday, October 11, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Victor Stora and the late Vilma Ozvoldik Stora.
Victor was employed by the NYPD from 1966 through 1996. In his 30 years, he served in several commands and retired as a Sergeant from the Staten Island Court Section. Before becoming a police officer, he was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge.
A true jack of all trades, Victor could build or fix anything. While supporting his growing family and working two jobs, he earned his college degree and graduated cum laude from the New York Institute of Technology. His determination, intelligence, and tireless work ethic were matched only by his devotion to those he loved. Though he carried a tough exterior, he had a kind and gentle heart and was always ready to help others without hesitation.
Victor was a devout catholic. He loved spending time with his family, weightlifting, reading a good book, and playing golf.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Lucille (nee Tropiano).
Loving father of Victor, Steven, Robert, Suzanne, and Diane. Dear father-in-law of Colleen, Thomas Lally, Joseph Rinaldi and the late Anne.
Cherished grandfather of Victor (Vivien), Michael (Kim), Steven, Victoria, Michael, Joseph (Leanna), Anthony, Dominick, and Nicholas.
Doting great grandfather of Joseph and Capria.
Devoted brother of Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 3, 2025, at St. Clare Church, located at 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, New York, 10308. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Alzheimer s Association or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, two charitable organizations very close to their hearts.
