Victoria Leap Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg on Jul. 10, 2025.
Victoria Lee "Vicki" Leap, 70, of Leesburg and formerly of Elkton, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, after a year-long cancer journey.
Vicki was born December 9, 1954, in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Leroy M. and Norma Rau Leap.
She spent her childhood years in Elkton, was a 1973 graduate of Elkton High School and attended William & Mary. Vicki was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Shenandoah and a woman of strong faith.
Vicki enjoyed a long career in the hospitality and food service industry including locations in FL, CO, TN and VA. Most recently, she was a Food Service Manager at Ashby Ponds, a retirement community in Ashburn, VA. Prior to her return to VA, Vicki served as an Executive Regional Vice-President for Chili's Restaurant and lived in Brentwood, TN. Vicki was an avid pet lover and in her free time enjoyed entertaining, reading, going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Vicki is survived by brothers, Tom Leap and wife, Heather (Olivia, Jaida, Celia), Mickey Leap and wife, Nancy (Alex and Jami), and Billy Leap and wife, Renee (Mitchell, Parker); five great nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Christ United Methodist Church in Shenandoah. Prior to the memorial service, a private burial will occur at the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.

I am a long time (10 year) resident of Ashby Ponds and remember Vicky with great fondness. She was meticulous at always responding to my emails, was patient with residents, and always went above and beyond in her work. I recall one night while waiting to eat at one of our restaurants a call came in to the desk and it was clear the new resident was unsure of where to go to get dinner and completely frazzled by the moving in process. Very calmly Vicky asked what they would like to eat and offered to bring it to their apartment. That understanding of what the new resident was experiencing and the compassion with which she responded will always stay with me. I will miss her. Connie Drapeau
