Victoria “Vicky” Mateo (nee Tavarez), age 38, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly from health complications on Monday, October 9, 2023, at UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
Born May 16, 1985, in Westlake, Ohio, she lived in Cleveland before moving to Elyria 20 years ago.
Vicky loved praying, playing cards, bingo, shopping, and getting her nails done.
She was also very talented and loved planning great parties for family and get-togethers.
Surviving is the love of her life and husband of 8 years, Jesse Mateo; her children, Aviana Carmen Mateo and Isis Bella Mateo; mother, Conception (nee Delgado) Tavarez; a brother, Victor Tavarez; and sisters, Byanca Tavarez, Connie Castillo, and Esmeralda Tavarez.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Tavarez.
Everyone is welcome to celebrate the life of Vicky on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
