After Vicky retired, she returned to Three Oaks and served on the River Valley Board of Education. She was also very involved with The Region of Three Oaks Museum as a volunteer and as a board member, having served as board president for several years. She was always a proud "Oaker". Vicky enjoyed traveling all over the United States, visiting many beautiful National Parks with her friends, Carol Kattula and Kay Roehl. She loved working in her yard, listening to the Chicago Cubs games on the radio, and attending the Notre Dame Women's Basketball games, as a season ticket holder.
Vicky will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one nephew, Charles Pfauth; one niece, Arlene King; a cousin, Joan Kasper; and many other cousins and countless friends she made over the years. We were shocked to learn of Vicky´s passing and send our deepest sympathy to her family.
Vicky was our HS typing teacher and later she was Brenda´s teaching colleague & her supervisor when Vicky became the principal at Galien.
We both ride motorcycles & remember when Vicky would ride her motorcycle to school. Think she always had fun with that!
Vicky was a good teacher & many of her former students gained lifelong skills that she helped develop. Hope your fond memories help you through this most difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Miss Pfauth passing away. When I was a Senior in high school at my Dad's urging, I took typing so that I could later type papers in college. I was the only guy in a class of Freshman and Sophomore girls, but we started with the "J" finger and worked our way through the keyboard and her famous timed writings. I still think of her when I type today. She was a kind soul and another in a long line of great Galien teachers who prepared us well for life. Rest in peace Miss Pfauth.

What a dedicated educator Vicky was...from being her student to being a fellow faculty member. She provided the inspiration, drive, discipline, and role model to her students for success. Vicky, you are missed.
