Victorío Araiza Bárcenas, 67, of Lampasas, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on July 24, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1958, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Antonio Araiza and Eustacia Araiza Bárcenas. Victorío had made Lampasas his home since 1992. A hardworking man, Victorío worked as a residential painter for Sixto Rocha for over 15 years. He was known for his quiet sense of humor, his love of family, and his enjoyment of simple pleasures-buying and winning scratch-offs, hanging out with family, and playing with his nieces and nephews. He was a devoted Catholic and a cherished brother, uncle, and friend. Victorío was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Eustacia Araiza Bárcenas; his brother Nicanor Araiza; and his sister Juana Araiza. He is survived by his brothers: Javier Araiza, Adolfo Araiza,Juan Araiza, Carmen Araiza, Antonio Araiza, and Rogelio Araiza; and his sisters: Amalia Araiza, Esther Araiza Ramirez, Asención Araiza, and Veronica Araiza Gutierrez. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas, with the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas, Texas, with Father Antony of St. Mary's officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Pallbearers will be Keith Romero, Omar Lucio, Josedavid Moran, Allan Araiza, Alexander Araiza, and Ivan Ramirez. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Lampasas.
