Vijai Budhu

Our loving Dad, Vijai Budhu was born on August 4, 1948 in Guyana, South America. He is the eldest of two brothers. On February 15, 1970, he married the love of his life, Deokalie (Helen). They were blessed with two daughters, Devika and Monica, who were born in Guyana. In 1978, he immigrated to Suriname to seek a better life. He was blessed with a son in Suriname, who he named Steve. He worked very hard in Suriname to provide a good life for his family. After 17 years of living in Suriname, he once again immigrated to the United States in 1995, where he has lived in Jersey City, until his passing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen, of 54 years; his three children, Devika, Monica and Steve; two sons-in-law: Rudy & Rakesh; daughter-in-law: Camilla; his 4 grandchildren: Daniel, Sarah, Riane and Adrian; his beloved mother, his only brother, Vishnu Boodhoo and sister-in-law, Nanda. His niece, Parvattie and family, and nephew, Naresh and family.
He will be tremendously missed by his immediate and extended family members, including his many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and all those who reside in the United States and Guyana. Rest well, Dad.
