Viki Jessica Pinyan

Viki Jessica Pinyan, 71, of Waleska, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at her residence after a very short but incredibly hard battle with liver cancer, surrounded by love.

Born on October 2, 1954, in Canton, Georgia, to J.C. and Juanita Hunt, Viki was a gifted musician with a beautiful and unmistakable voice. She cherished her years in Florida, where she spent many seasons playing music and sharing her talent, but she was truly happy to come back home. Throughout her life, she sang and performed with incredible talent all across the United States, bringing joy and inspiration to all who heard her.

Viki played for years with her dear friends in Local Legends, an experience that brought her so much joy and was a highlight of her musical journey. Along with her passion for music, she loved to fish and spend peaceful days at the lake house on Lake Allatoona - moments she treasured with family and friends.

She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family brought immense pride and happiness to her life. Viki was married for 25 years to the love of her life, Terry Pinyan, with whom she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Viki was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Juanita Hunt, and her sister, Bertie Haire.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Pinyan; her daughter, Sossity Glover; grandchildren, Austin Emory, Dustin Emory, Jesse (Julia) Emory, Mackenzie Glover; and great-grandchild, Jessica Emory. She also leaves behind her brothers, Chris (Faye) Cagle of Canton, Georgia, Lawson (Sherri) Hunt of Ellijay, Georgia, and Mike Hunt of Jasper, Georgia.

Known for her spunky personality and unmistakable presence, Viki will be remembered with music, stories, and a spirit you don't forget.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Darby Funeral Home in Canton, Georgia, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones to share memories and offer condolences.

A funeral service in honor and celebration of Viki's life will take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Darby Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Withrow will officiate. Following the service, interment will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.
