She was very special and I still remember Viki Collatz, and how kind she was to both my great grandmother, my great aunt and my grandmother. She is missed--but what a wonderful life--100 years of kindness, caring and healing.

Dr. Collatz was my grandfather's doctor. She was the only doctor I knew of that made house calls. Absolutely unheard of in this day and age.
she was always kind and helpful.

Oh my gosh!!!..My doctor throughout my child and adulthood!!! We used to argue that my name was not Vonda, that it is Wanda. She used to say, yes, dats vat I said, Vonda!!! I loved her contagious smile and will always remember it, and her. I took a year of German in school so that I could talk to her and she loved the effort I made to do this for her.

My condolences to the Collatz family. Dr. Collatz was my mother's(Dorothy Witzel) doctor for years and she loved her dearly. My mother passed in October and even weeks before her passing she was talking about how she wished Dr. Collatz was still practicing. My mother thought so highly of her. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dr. Collatz was our family doctor for many years. She was forthright and very competent. My mom adored her! I fell at school and broke my arm only a few months after we had moved to Santa Maria. Dr. Collatz was not taking new patients but my mom mentioned my aunt's name and she took us right in. From then on, she was our doctor. She'd say (in her German accent) "Don't you vorry. Ve vill fix you up!" Loved her!

Our entire family was both saddened, yet in awe of the passing of Vicky Collatz. She treated our great-grandmother, our great-aunt, our grandmother, and occasionally our mother. Three generations of our family were in her care. She was such a wonderful person. She taught me to make cream of wheat for my great-grandmother using egg whites, so she'd get enough protein. She cared so deeply for all her patients and their families. So many in our family looked up to her and benefited from her wisdom. Although she will be missed, having her around for a century affected us greatly. We'll remember her, her kindness, and her teachings forever. Condolences to her entire family.
