With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Vibert Ivor Adams, who passed peacefully on September 24, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Pomeroon, Essequibo Coast, Guyana, to Annie and Thomas Reece, Vibert lived a life devoted to service, family, and faith.

He served his community with integrity as a Police Officer in Bartica, earning respect for his compassion and dedication. In the early 2000s, Vibert gave his life to God and became a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His decision to follow Christ transformed his life and strengthened his commitment to living with kindness and purpose.

As Head Deacon of the Olliveth Seventh-day Adventist Church, Vibert served joyfully and humbly, supporting the ministry, uplifting others with encouraging words, and faithfully maintaining his daily devotions and prayer life.

He cherished his family deeply-his beloved wife, children, daughter in-law, son in-law, cousins, siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Time spent with them brought him great joy, and his home was always filled with warmth, love, music, and delicious meals he enjoyed preparing.

Vibert will be remembered as a gentle and loving soul who lived out his faith in every area of his life. His legacy of service, unity, and devotion to God will continue to inspire all who knew him.

We take comfort in the blessed hope of Christ's return, trusting that Vibert has "fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith."
