Vincent Casoria, a cherished figure in his community, passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on November 15, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York to his parents Anthony and Catherine. Vincent lived most of his life in the vibrant borough that shaped him. He was not just a resident but a beloved member of the Brooklyn community, known for his warm spirit and engaging personality.
Vincent dedicated his professional life to the utility sector, serving as a Senior Coordinator at ConEd. His commitment and work ethic were evident throughout his career, and he earned the respect of his colleagues and peers. In addition to his career, Vincent served his country honorably as an Army veteran, a testament to his dedication and patriotism.
An individual of many interests and talents, Vincent had a profound love for music, particularly the timeless tunes of Frank Sinatra. He was a gymnast in his younger years, a model, and at various points, a taxi driver. Additionally, he ventured into the construction business, showcasing his versatility and determination. His culinary skills were equally impressive, as he took great pride in being a great cook, sharing delicious meals with family and friends.
In his later years, Vincent became a beloved family man. He is survived by his son, Vincent A. Casoria and his wife Karen, and daughter, Christine Casoria, who carry forward his legacy. He also leaves behind his grandson, Matthew T. Casoria, as well as his siblings Philip, Tony, Carlo, and Marie Supino. Vincent also became very close with his aide, Cheryl, who took care of him for 2 years. He was predeceased by his son, the late Michael Anthony, who is fondly remembered by those who knew him.
Vincent's unwavering companions also included his devoted dog, Abigail Luna, who was a source of joy and companionship in his life.
Visitation services will be held on January 27, 2025, at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again later that evening from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A prayer service will follow starting at 8:00 PM.
Vincent Casoria will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. His legacy of love, commitment, and kindness will remain etched in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
