Walbert Funeral Home & CrematoryVincent D'Ambrosio, Sr. 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025, in Phoenixville, PA.
Born April 16, 1944, in Philadelphia, Vince was the son of the late Catherine (Mealey) Harris, and the late William D'Ambrosio. He and his wife of 59 years, Carol F. (Koslowski) D'Ambrosio, were married on June 11, 1966, in Philadelphia.
Vince served his country honorably and faithfully as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, serving from July 17, 1963 to July 7, 1967.
Vince was a 1962 graduate of Bishop Neuman High School and went on to study at Montgomery County Community College and Temple University. Vince worked for over 24 years as a machine operator and in inventory control for Moore Products Company, Spring House, PA. He also worked at Palm Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
Vince was a member of the Ray A. Master, American Legion Post #217, Topton, and enjoyed golfing and soccer. He also coached the Teams USA / Pennsylvania, Under 14 Boys Soccer team during their European Tour.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Carol, are his children, Vincent D'Ambrosio, Jr., husband of Rebecca N. (Takacs) D'Ambrosio, West Chester, and Justine T. (D'Ambrosio) Alderfer, wife of Joel K. Alderfer, Hereford. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Vincent, Olivia, Meredith and Owen, his brothers, William D'Ambrosio, husband of Joanne D'Ambrosio, Strafford, NJ, and Robert D'Ambrosio, husband of Jane D'Ambrosio, Williamstown, NJ, by his sister, Elaine (D'Ambrosio) DiCaprio, wife of John DiCaprio, Somerdale, NJ, and by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Vince will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA. A Viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Burial with Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force, will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vince's memory to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
