Vincent "Vinny" DeVita, born on May 5, 2006, bid farewell to this world on June 16, 2024, in Osakis, MN. He leaves behind a legacy adorned with cherished memories and heartfelt connections that will forever be engraved in the lives of those who knew him.
Vinny's journey through life was marked by a deep-rooted passion for travel, instilled in him by his father. Together they traversed the country, creating unforgettable experiences along the way. In the comfort of his home, Vinny found solace in preparing meals for his mother, showcasing his culinary skills with creations like chili and Italian Wedding Soup.
An avid gamer, Vinny delighted in spending time online with his cousins—an activity that bound them together in a close-knit relationship. His adventurous spirit led him to the exhilarating world of dirt biking, culminating in a pursuit to obtain his motorcycle license, an endeavor he hoped would unite him with both his mother and father on thrilling rides.
Vinny graduated from Chokio-Alberta High School in 2024. His time there was enriched by participation in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, activities that shaped his character and instilled values of camaraderie and service. Among his fondest memories was a junior year trip to Spain.
Those who knew Vinny will remember him as not just a compassionate young man but also as someone with a heart full of selflessness. His infectious humor brightened the lives of those around him, while his gentlemanly demeanor reflected an old soul beyond his years.
In mourning his loss and celebrating his life are his grieving family members: Mom Nicole DeVita and Dad Jason DeVita; brother Jaxon DeVita; grandma, Roxanne Alsaker; grandparents: Joseph & Karen DeVita; Aunt Andrea DeVita; Aunt Cristy Mueller; Uncle Adam Repp; alongside several other cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who held a special place in Vinny's heart.
