Vincent J. DiGregorio, Jr., 70 of Worcester, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Lifecare Center of Auburn.

Vin was born in Worcester, a son of the late Vincent J. and Christine A. (Papagni) DiGregorio. He was a graduate of North High School, Class of 1973 and has lived in Worcester all his life. He was the owner and operator of DiGregorio Construction Company, Mass Crushing and Tri Equipment working alongside his father and sons for many years and was also the manager of the former ITAM Club before his retirement.

Vin was a sociable person who liked going out with friends and family and was a huge fan of Frank Sinatra. He loved to watch the same episodes of Law and Order repeatedly and would drive his family crazy. He was known for his Italian Christmas Eve on 1 DiGregorio Drive with family & friends. He enjoyed golfing and hosted and organized many golf tournaments in memory of his father. He loved New England Sports Teams and when watching his favorite teams on the television, anyone in the vicinity of Massasoit Road could hear his cheers, his yelling and his hands pounding on the living room floor when they scored. He was active in his sons’ basketball and baseball games, and he always told the team, “The 1st to hit a home run gets $100” and he always kept that promise. He was good to everyone and a very generous person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

He will be missed by all who knew him.  Vin is survived by three sons, Vincent J. “VJ” DiGregorio, III, Anthony “Tone” DiGregorio and Michael DiGregorio and his fiancé Cassondra “Sonnie” McArdle all of Worcester; his handsome grandson, Lorenzo DiGregorio; his former wife and mother of his children, Debra A. (Scampini) DiGregorio of Worcester; a bonus daughter, Nicole C. Scampini of Worcester; his one and only godchild, Patti-Ann Scampini Friend of Worcester; three sisters, Marie McFadden wife of the late Robert Nugent, Jr. of South Grafton, Angela Mirrer of Newton and Christine DiGregorio wife of the late John Simpson of Henniker, NH; a brother, Joseph DiGregorio of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.

“… And now, the end is near. And so I face the final curtain. My friend, I'll say it clear. I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. I've lived a life that's full. I've traveled each and every highway but more, much more than this, I did it my way.”

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. His funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19th with a procession from the funeral home to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, PO Box 319, Grafton, MA. 01519
