Vincent Funicello

Vincent was called to rest on October 29th to join his beloved wife Gioconda. He was born in a small town of Montecorice Italy in 1933. He entered the Seminary as a teenager in Italy but decided it wasn't for him. He came to America in his 20's and immediately found a job with Bonnie Briar Country Club, then Airequipt Company, and finally a job with Teledyne Company.
He was recently diagnosed with dementia; just recovered from surgery a week ago. He was such a brave, strong human being. We honored his wish to be kept at home where all he wanted to do was sit on his front or back porch to as he put it "see people". His biggest loss three years ago, was Gioconda, his wife of 63 years. After her passing he always would say "you lose your wife, you lose you life".
Vincent is predeceased by his brothers Nick, Louis and sister Maria; his surviving family who he adored and cherished, Rosa Mileo, Roseanne and Pat Cristofalo, Paula, Carolina and Ramon Gonzalez, and many nieces and nephews. We give our loving thanks to the wonderful caregivers Christy, Ronnie, Anna and Esther and to those who showed their love and support to him and our family.
