Vincent LeRoy Jones, a lifelong carpenter known for his craftsmanship and dedication to his work, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at the Louisburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation. He was born on June 19, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas, where he would later grow up and build a life filled with love, family, and passions.
Vincent graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School, a significant step that laid the foundation for his future endeavors. Throughout his life, he not only excelled in his career as a carpenter but also took great pleasure in embracing various hobbies. Vincent was particularly fond of working around the house and engaging in home improvement projects, showcasing his skills as a handyman. Additionally, he enjoyed the art of collecting stamps and coins, activities that brought him joy and satisfaction.
Vincent leaves behind a loving family that will remember him fondly. He is survived by his sister, Roxie West; his brothers, Wendell (Saundra) Jones and Kevin (Debbie) Jones; his daughter, Shanna Haney; and his sister-in-law, Andrea Jones. Vincent will be deeply missed by his family and friends who treasured his kindness and enthusiasm for life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Cleo Jones; his sister, Sharon Koenecke; and his brother, Gary Jones. Vincent's legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, and he will be remembered for the positive impact he made on their lives. His warmth and character will remain in the hearts of many.
As we reflect on Vincent's life, we celebrate the wonderful memories he created and the relationships he nurtured. He was a man who left a lasting mark and will be dearly missed.
