Vincent LaRusso, a long time resident of The Villages, passed away on January 1, 2026 at Buffalo Crossings Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. LaRusso was 102 years old.

Vincent was born on June 6, 1923, in Buffalo, New York. He was married to the former S. Marie Hueber on December 26, 1945. They were married 65 years before her death in 2011.

Mr. LaRusso was in the U. S. Marine Corps, the 1st Division. He went onto the islands of Peleliu and Okinawa in World War II. In 1988 he and Marie moved to The Villages from St Louis, Missouri. While here, he was a proud member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church where he was a founding member and a loyal Eucharistic Minister until the age of 101. He worked many years at Ace Hardware (Sweets/Burry's). He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the Village Squares.

Mr. LaRusso is survived by his daughter, Deborah Means (James), The Villages, FL; his son, Douglas (Jeanie) LaRusso, Murphreesboro, TN; and his son, David (Barbara) LaRusso, St Louis, MO. He is also survived by 3 grandsons: Scott (Amy) LaRusso, Lakeland, TN; Jeffrey (Stacey) LaRusso, Lakeland, TN; and Anthony (Kristin) LaRusso, St Louis, MO. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters: Amy (Jon) Zuckerman and Alison (Ryan) Glasscock, Fenton, MO. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren: Parker (Paige), Avery, Kanon, Presley, Reese, Morgan, Jack, Rhyan Marie, Drew, Vincent, and Gabriella. He had many friends and neighbors.

A memorial mass will be at St. Timothy's Catholic Church on January 12 at 8:30 am.
