Obituary of Vincent Paul Marino
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved husband and father, Vincent Marino, who left this world on October 11, 2023. Born in Massachusetts in 1926, he departed peacefully at his home in Florida, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Ann Marino, and their children: Elaine Omanoff, Diane (Danny) Welford, Michelle (Dave) Scherff, 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family mourns the loss of Dr. Vincent Marino Jr (Tammy), who preceded his father in death.
Vincent was a World War ll Navy Veteran in the Pacific. When he returned from the war, he graduated from Boston University and began working for the space program. In 1966, he built two apartment buildings in Cape Canaveral, where he served on the city council. He helped raise donations to start Our Saviour's Church and was an usher at the church for over 20 years. He always put his family first, and he treated all of his friends and tenants like family.
Friends are invited to celebrate Vincent's life on October 21, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at the Church of Our Saviour, located at 5301 North Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, FL
Though Vincent's physical presence has departed, his memory will forever reside in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say our farewells, we remember:
Though you are gone, we still have all the love, all the memories, and all the examples of how to live life.
May he rest in eternal peace.
