Vincent "Dale" McTaggart

Vincent McTaggart, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 66 at Blue Water Hospice Home in Marysville on January 21, 2026. Born on June 28, 1959, in Port Huron, Michigan, Vincent was the beloved son of the late Vincent F. and Mary Jane (Miller) McTaggart. He lived a life marked by laughter, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his family.

Vincent's love story began when he married Glenda on May 31, 1980, a union that was blessed with love, partnership, and three wonderful children: Angela (Daniel) Melton of Lenox, Dale McTaggart of Port Huron, and Jennifer (Daniel) Hart of Lewiston. His legacy continued to blossom with the joy of his grandchildren, Kyle, Jake, Benjamin, Sara, and Adrian, as well as the delight of his great-granddaughter, Vivienne. Vincent's siblings, Vickie (Mark) Hewett, Raymond McTaggart, and Adam (Denise) McTaggart, along with many extended family members, will fondly remember his infectious humor and generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin McTaggart.

An avid outdoorsman, Vincent found joy and excitement in hunting and fishing. His quick wit and love for joking were the heartbeat of many gatherings, leaving a trail of laughter and smiles wherever he went.

Known for his extraordinary generosity, Vincent lived by the principle that to give was greater than to receive. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought, and his compassion knew no bounds. His selflessness was most evident in his dedication to giving back to his community, a testament to his character and the values he held dear.

Above all, Vincent's world revolved around his grandchildren. Each moment spent with them was precious, and he took great pride in their every achievement and milestone. His love for them was a beacon that will continue to shine brightly in their hearts and guide them throughout their lives.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and memorial services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate. A luncheon will be held in The Lindke Hall at Grace Memorial.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Vincent.
