Vincent Lloyd Michel

The Memorial service for Vincent Lloyd Michel, 56, will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 3, 2026, at St. Cornelius Episcopal Church at Cathedral Oaks (1312 Waco Rd, Belton, TX 76513) Magnolia House with Mother Rachel Harber officiating.

Vince passed into the nearer presence of our Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Vince was born on September 14, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas, the only son of Richard Lloyd Michel and Shirley Ann (Bandy) Michel. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. He taught high school English for over a decade at East Central High School in San Antonio. He married Kate Barron on May 22, 2010, in Universal City at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. Most important to him was being a husband to his loving wife, father to his three incredible children, and caretaker to a menagerie of cats and dogs. His faith was also central to his life and work. He was a member of St. Cornelius Episcopal Church in Belton, serving on its Bishop's Committee, and delighted in serving and loving others according to the teachings of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Kate L. Barron Michel; two sons, Ian Lloyd Barron Michel and Noah Preston Karl Michel, and one daughter, Elizabeth Michel; two sisters Vicki DeHaven and Kimberly Michel; and also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
