EAST LONGMEADOW
Vincent N. Mineo, 67, passed away on November 18, 2025. Born in Springfield, MA on August 26, 1958, he was the son of the late Joseph Mineo, Jr. and Patricia (Santaniello) Mineo.
For many years, Vinny owned and operated his own commercial cleaning business. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating and fishing, a good plate of Chinese food, and spending time with his adored grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered for the nicknames he gave everyone and for his quick wit.
Besides his parents, Vinny was predeceased by daughter Nicole Mineo and his brother Joseph Mineo. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife Tracy (Capell) Mineo; his children Patricia Mineo, Marissa Stagnaro, and Vincent N. Mineo, Jr. and his wife Emilie; his grandchildren Gianna Bruno and her fiancé David Arango, Julianna Campbell, Olivia Frogameni and Nicole Mineo; his sister-in-law Anna Mineo; his nephews and niece Carmino, Luca and Joanna as well as many additional nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 4 – 7 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. A funeral home service will take place at 7 PM. Burial will be private for the family in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorial contributions in Vinny's memory may be made to Vantage Health and Rehab of Hampden, 34 Main St, Hampden, MA 01036 or to Legacy Lifecare VNA & Hospice, 770 Converse Street, Longmeadow, MA 01106.

So sad to hear of the loss of Vinny this week. I hold so many fond memories of Vinny. One in particular was when I asked him to show me how to be a bartender at the Willows. He had a lot of patience with me and in the end he made me a starter and gave me the nickname Markie. Another was seeing the picture of the gang in front of his and Dave's boat, the SS Booze Brothers. Those were good times. Vinny was a proud father and grandfather. It is an honor to have known the Mineo family. He will be missed.
