Vincent James Mustachio

Vincent Mustachio 93 years old of Middletown, NJ passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 at Care One at King James LTC, Middletown, NJ.
Vincent was born in Bloomfield, NJ on August 2, 1930 to the late Joseph and Rose Mustachio. He was a proud Mason for Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Union Local #5, Bordentown, NJ.
Vincent served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Sunday dinners would always put a smile on Vincent's face, surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren Christopher, Douglas, Katelyn and the newest great grandchild Kento. He also enjoyed backyard barbecues, usually followed by a competitive game of bocce.
Christmas Eve was one of his favorite times of the year. The house smelling of Christmas dinner cooking, which consisted of the traditional 7 fishes, and his famous champagne punch.
When winter wind would blow and the snows started to fall, Marilyn would hear Vincent say, "Marilyn pack your bags its time to head to sunny Arizona", where he loved to sightsee with his grandson Christopher and granddaughter Katelyn, or whoever decided to climb into the truck with him. After sightseeing Vincent would find a beautiful spot to take in the sights and enjoy a picnic lunch.
He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Middletown. A member of the Italian American Club in Jersey City, he enjoyed watching his grandson Douglas playing baseball. His favorite teams being the New York Yankee's and the New York Giant's. He loved his wife's Italian cooking and a nice glass of wine. He also enjoyed playing golf when he got the chance.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph Jr., Anthony, Salvatore, Dominick, Gasper, Anna, May, Faye, Freda and Josephine.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 73 years Marilyn (Cosentino), his devoted children, son Robert Vincent and his wife Deborah, daughters Cheryl Ann Mustachio and Tara Lynn Molnar and her husband Gary. Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren Christopher Steven and his wife Kazumi, Douglas James, Katelyn Rose, and his great grandson Kento.
Visiting Thursday September 21, 2023 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 22, 2023 1:00pm at the funeral home, please start arriving 12:30pm. Burial will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
