Vincent Simineri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. on Dec. 6, 2025.
Our beloved Vincent Simineri, age 86, of Freehold, New Jersey, passed away on Friday,

December 5, 2025, surrounded by the comfort and love of his family. Vincent was born in

Brooklyn in 1939 to Catherine and Michael Simineri. As a teenager, he met the love of his life,

Jane Rocco (Simineri), who predeceased him in 2018. They married in 1964 and, in 1970,

moved to Eltingville, Staten Island, where they built a beautiful life and raised their family.

Vincent retired from the Sanitation Department in 1979 and then pursued his passion for

entrepreneurship. He owned and operated J & M Carting &; Excavation and Metropolitan

Stone Corp., working diligently until his second retirement in 2000.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and water sports. He also enjoyed

riding his Harley motorcycle and collecting antique cars, including his cherished 1964 Corvette.

In his retirement, Vincent found great joy in playing cards and spending time with the many

friends he made throughout his community.

Vincent is survived by his loving daughter, Jaclyn, his son Michael, and his grandchildren Gina

and Loren Garafola, Nico Degen, and Noella Simineri. He was a devoted brother to his three

surviving sisters and a cherished "Uncle Poppy" to the Garda family. He leaves behind his

extended family, numerous friends, and all who loved him dearly.

Family and friends are asked to gather Wednesday form 2-4 & 7=9 p.m. at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Services 28 Eltingville Blvd. Staten Island N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday 11:00 a.m. at The Church of The Holy Child 47474 Amboy Rd. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
