It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Vincenzo Gencarelli, 92, of Worcester, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Vincenzo is survived by his loving sisters, Francesca Servidio, Maria Kent, and Antonietta Webster all of Worcester; his cherished brothers, Michael Gencarelli, Angelo Gencarelli both of Millbury, and Joseph Gencarelli and his wife Antoinette Gencarelli of Worcester; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his dear parents, Vincenzo was predeceased by his sister, Nunziata Chimento.
Born in San Giacomo d’Acri Provincia Cozenza, on October 21, 1933, Vincenzo was the son of the late Luigi Antonio and Maria Cristina (Ginese) Gencarelli. In his early years, Vincenzo served in the Italian Army. He was the proud owner and operator of Gencarelli Construction Company for many years. Vincenzo had a passion for welding and loved nothing more than his Corvette.
Calling hours will be held for Vincenzo on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 9:30a.m. until his Funeral Service at 11:30a.m. in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Immediately following, Vincenzo will be laid to rest in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vincenzo’s memory to the American Diabetes Association.
