Viola G. Gareski

Viola G. "Vi" Gareski, 93, of Aurora, IL passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, December 25, 2021. She was born on April 5, 1928, the daughter of Vie and Lena (Yorkiewicz) Roberts, formerly of Harvey, IL.

Viola worked at BRK Electronics for 17 years as well at other various local factories. Viola touched many lives and always had a warm smile for everyone. She enjoyed bowling, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, playing Bingo with her sister Gerry and most of all, loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Viola married Stanley Gareski on November 27, 1954 and spent the next 62 years together until his passing in 2016.

Viola is survived by her loving sons, Stanley W. (Rachel) Gareski III and Michael A. Gareski, both of Aurora, IL; granddaughter Lisa Gareski of Lake Holiday, IL; grandson Stanley W. Gareski IV of Sandwich, IL; grandson Mathew Gareski of Montgomery, IL; granddaughter Misty Fricano of Chillicothe, IL; great grandchildren Alex, Mason, Alexia, Giana and Nevaeh; her sisters-in-law Joan Roberts and Carol Gareski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley Gareski; an infant son, Steven Gareski; her grandson Jeremy Gareski; her siblings George (Thelma) Roberts, Eleanor (Tony) Perry, Merlin (Audrey) Roberts, Anne (Pete) Fouts, Geraldine (Ed) Behrens and Ernest Roberts.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora. 630-631-5500.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora.
