Viola D. Loercher, 99, of Manheim, passed away at home on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma (Stehman) Ditzler. She was the loving wife of the late John F. Loercher, sharing 74 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2017.
Viola was employed by Manheim Central School district for 25 years in the high school cafeteria. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Viola was so grateful of having such wonderful and caring neighbors and friends in addition to her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. wife of D. Bruce Wilson of Spring City, four grandchildren and seven great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her son, J. Timothy Loercher, three brothers, James, Stehman, and Ralph Ditzler, and a sister, Mabel Birkenbine.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Viola’s Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity E.C. Church, 48 Market Square, Manheim, PA 17545 or Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
