Viola Darlene McMullen, was a beacon of love and generosity in a world that often needed it. Born on March 30, 1953, in Houston, TX, she carried her compassionate spirit throughout her 72 years, leaving a legacy of kindness and warm memories in her wake. Viola was a steadfast rock in the lives of her family, a reliable source of comfort and strength. Her heart held an endless reserve of love, primarily for her cherished children and grandchildren.

Viola found joy in the simplest of pleasures. Her love for the thrill and excitement of the game rooms and casinos was only surpassed by her dedication to her family. A generous soul, Viola always made sure those around her felt seen and loved. In the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Viola had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued. Her life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and generosity.

Viola is survived by her son, Teddy McMullen; daughter, Charlotte Willis; grandchildren, Trever McMullen (Brooke), Noah McMullen (Houston), Dylan McMullen (Kaylee), Brittany Hill, Angel Bryer (Blake), and Tyler Gates (Shelby). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ted McMullen; her parents, Alexander and Frances Felder; and her siblings, Ray Felder, Jim Felder, and Diane Wilganowski.

Celebration of Viola's life was held at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd., Kingwood, Texas, 77339, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. We encourage everyone who knew and loved Viola to leave memories and upload photos to her memorial page. It's a chance to share the moments of joy, laughter, and love that Viola brought into our lives. Let's celebrate Viola's incredible journey and the beautiful imprint she left on our hearts. As we remember Viola, let's carry her spirit of compassion, generosity, love, and reliability into our everyday lives.
