Viola Page Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grace Memorial - Smith Chapel - Port Huron on Feb. 19, 2025.
Viola Marilyn Page, a spirited and kind-hearted soul, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on October 17, 1928, in Port Huron, Michigan, Viola was the cherished daughter of the late George and Annabelle (Phillips) Gers. Her adventurous spirit and warm smile left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Viola's life was rich with love and laughter, shared with her devoted children, Laurie (Gary) Burmann of Port Huron and Doug (Peggy) Page of Palm Harbor, Florida. She was a proud grandmother to Adrienne (Chad) Schwabauer, Andrea (Doran) Fanning, Laura Burmann, Caroline Burmann, Benjamin Page, and Megan (Elias) Javier. Her joy was multiplied as she welcomed her great-grandchildren Harvey, Josie, Jordin, Sam, Poppy, Rory, Luca, and Liam into the world. In her final decade, Viola found companionship and happiness with her special friend, Don Lund.
Viola's journey through life was marked by her many passions and talents. Viola loved animals, especially her dog, Brandy. She was an avid traveler, finding serenity in wintering at her home in Florida, where she indulged in her love for the natural world. The beach was her sanctuary, where she spent countless hours walking along the shore, searching for sharks' teeth, beach glass, and shells.
A woman of many skills, Viola was an excellent cook, known for her ability to knit and create beautiful clothing. Her green thumb flourished in her garden, and she took pride in canning the fruits of her labor. Viola was raised in the Lutheran church and was proud to be a member of the church community.
Professionally, Viola served her community as a vision technician through the health department at local schools. She was dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the children she worked with, always presenting herself with grace and elegance. Viola's legacy is one of love, kindness, and adventure. She was the queen of her high school class, a title that reflected her lifelong grace and poise.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Waller and Doris Minkinow, who are now reunited with Viola in eternal peace.
