Viola Strong Obituary
Viola Buley Strong, age 95, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025. Viola was a vibrant spirit who brought joy to all who knew her. She cherished her family dearly, had a deep love for her dogs, and found delight in the beach and her pool. A talented artist and dedicated professional, she worked hard throughout her career while nurturing her passion for creativity. She had a love for the Lord and very strong in her faith. Viola's warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Born on December 31, 1929, in Greensburg, Kentucky, to Elijah and Effie (Nelson) Buley, Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband William "Buddy" Strong, her son Thomas Brent Strong, and her siblings Stanley Buley and Stella Mae Rich.
Viola is lovingly remembered by her brother, Carl Buley, along with her nephews Donald (Elizabeth) Rich and Paul Buley, her nieces Teresa Buley and Yolanda (Jim) Elliott, her great-nephew David Rich, and numerous other nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Yolanda and Teresa for the exceptional care they provided to Viola over the past three years.
In honor of Viola's memory, contributions may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society or the Louisville Metro Animal Shelter.
