Viola Townley, 95 of Lewisville, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, surrounded by Jesus our Lord and Savior and the love of her family. Born on November 22, 1929, in Seymour, Baylor County, Texas. Viola's life exemplified the power of kindness, the strength of resilience, and the beauty of devotion. She married Timmons Clint Johnson on January 31, 1948 - March 14, 1976 (Widowed), and married Myron Townley of Paducah, Texas, on September 23, 1977 - June 5, 2016 (widowed). Together, they built a home that welcomed friends, neighbors, and generations of family with warmth, laughter, and good food. Viola was known for her sharp wit, gentle spirit, and unwavering generosity. Whether through a warm meal, a thoughtful word, or her steady presence, she comforted and encouraged everyone around her. She especially cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, always ready with a story, a hug, or her famous coffee cake. She is survived by her children, Homer James Johnson and wife Alice and Pamela Gayle Hoing and husband Joe, Tarra Cox and husband David, Shawna Taylor and husband Bob, grandchildren Heather Johnson-Neddeau, Marty Flowers, Jason Flowers, Tarra Michelle Gonzales, Drew Taylor, Andra Park, Kimberly Franke, Kelly Dunkelburger, Kerie Bay, 21 greatgrandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and countless friends who will hold her memory dear. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Dewitt Clifton and Mattie Lorene Glimore, beloved husbands, Clint and Myron, her siblings Wendell, Georgia, Buster, and Ronnie, her granddaughter Kimberly Elaine Champion, and many loved ones who no doubt welcomed her home. Viola's life was a testament to love, patience, and quiet strength. Her family will remember her for the lessons she taught through words and example - to be kind, laugh often, and treasure time with one another. A celebration of Viola's life will be on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The viewing will take place at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM, both held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, located at 740 South Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, Texas 75067. A brief gravesite service will be held at the Cemetery in Elbert, Texas, at 3:33 PM. Her story does not end here; it lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
