VIOLET ELLA ADAMS, age 93, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Cedarvale Commons Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born on March 6, 1932 in Washington CH to the late Lester Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Whaley) Shoemaker. Violet was a homemaker and stay-at-home Mom; she also cleaned houses for several years. She had attended the Octa Holiness Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Adams, Sr.; her son, Jesse R. Adams; granddaughter, Tiara Adams; and siblings, Dianna Briggs, Patricia Albright, Steven Shoemaker, Richard Harley Shoemaker, Eugene Shoemaker, and Ted Shoemaker.

Survivors include her children, William Henry, Jr. (Lorrie) Adams, Christopher Jay Adams, and Suzette Elizabeth McFadden; grandchildren, Regina (Scott) Moore, Travis Adams, Jessica Allen, Kami Wilson and her fiancé, Tony Eddlemon, and Tyler (Chrissa) Adams; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Tia, Jordan, Janson, Harris, Oaklyn, Trevyn, Braxton Josie, Bellamy, Brinceton, Pierce, Margo, Illea, and KoKo; great-great-grandchildren, Adyson, Brystol, and Amelia; and siblings, Mary Burlye, David (Jacqueline) Shoemaker, and Starley Buck Shoemaker. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor James Kemp officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
