Violet Rose Colclough, 82, of Creedmoor, North Carolina peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Hock Family Pavilion. She was born January 26, 1942 in Chatham County, NC to the late Bob and Annie Herndon.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Valton Colclough; brothers, W.R. Herndon, John Herndon and George Herndon and sister, Grace Combs.
Mrs. Colclough is survived by daughter, Connie Colclough; sons, Danny Colclough (Judy) and Marty Colclough (Karen); brothers, Charles Herndon, Tommy Herndon (Diane) and Paul Herndon (Becky); sister, Marie McCorkle; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Violet was a faithful Christian who regularly attended church at Emmanuel Holiness Mission until Valton passed away. She enjoyed working in the yard, bingo and playing the slot machine. Violet especially enjoyed trips to the beach and often spoke about the trips she and Valton took together. She loved animals, especially all her dogs. Violet will be remembered as a loving, sweet, strong-willed wife, mother, grandmother and sibling who will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Kim Walsh will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:00 P.M.
Flowers are acceptable.
