Violet Curry

Violet "Tince" Curry, 88, of Delbarton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. She was born on February 11, 1938 to the late James and Florence Kirk.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ira Curry whom she loved dearly. Also, her siblings Wayne, Elmer, Dolly, Ollie, Garnett, Patty, Hattie (Bill), and Lucy.

She leaves behind a family she loved dearly with Shane, Rachel, and Easton Hunt. She is also survived by her sister, Glenna Varney, and step children Robin Curry and Henry "HD" Curry along with many friends and loved ones who will cherish her memory.

Violet was a devoted member of Connolly Memorial Baptist Church. Her church meant the world to her, and she loved her church family deeply. Her faith and kindness touched many lives in her community.

Violet will be remembered for her loving heart, strong faith, and the joy she found in family and church. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for Violet will take place at Connolly Memorial Baptist Church in Delbarton, WV on Saturday March 14th, 2026 from 1:00PM-3:00PM. Funeral services will take place at 3:00PM with Rev. Zeke Stepp and Rev. Jarrod Belcher officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lenore Memorial Gardens, Lenore WV with Shane Hunt, Billy Hunt, and the men of the church serving as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hunt, Rickey Bailey, and Richard Belcher.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Connolly Memorial Baptist Church.
