Luther Williams

Luther Douglas Williams, age 79, went to be with the Lord and the love of his life on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his family. As the last of his generation, Luther's passing marks the end of an era. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Williams, his 12 siblings, and his infant son, Luther Douglas Williams Jr.

Luther was born on April 1st, and his mother, Nettie, always affectionately remarked that he was "the biggest fool there was." He carried that sense of humor and light with him throughout his life.

While his presence will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the promise of the scripture and the joy of a heavenly reunion. After 19 years of longing, he is finally reunited with Brenda and their young son. He spoke often of his desire to feel her warm embrace once again, and today, they walk together on streets of gold.

Daughter Mary and her husband, Garland Endicott of Yawkey, WV

Grandson: Joshua Endicott and his wife, Kelley, of Yawkey, WV.

Great-Grandchildren: Brenda, William, Abigail, and Gabrielle.

Granddaughter: Crystal and her husband, Brad Ratliff, of Shrewsbury, WV.

Daughter Ronnie and her husband, Lee Robinette of Delbarton, WV

Granddaughter: Ashley and her husband, Frankie Woolum of Delbarton, WV.

Great-Granddaughter: Athena.

The family would like to extend their kindest regards to the Pikeville Medical Center team; the staff were so kind and compassionate to the family during this time.

Luther will be remembered for his strength, his dedication to his family, and the enduring love he held for Brenda throughout his life.

Visitation will take place at Chafin Funeral Home in Delbarton, WV on Saturday March 14th, 2026, from 11:00am-1:00pm. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00PM with Rev. Josh Endicott officiating.
