Violet Garland Obituary
Violet, of Milwaukee, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband William Garland in 2012. She is survived by two daughters: Shawn (the late Robert) Doome and Carol (George) Warner. Violet is further survived by a special friend Mary Karkow and special neighbors Kurt and Bonnie Drezek, as well as other relatives and friends.
Violet was a former employee of the USPS and Mt. Sinai Hospital. She was a long-time member of Christ King Catholic Parish in Wauwatosa.
Violet enjoyed dining out with friends, traveling here and abroad, and playing at her casino's.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, at CHRIST KING CATHOLIC PARISH, 2604 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa. Lunch will follow at Aliota's, 3041 N. Mayfair Rd., Wauwatosa.
Interment will take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christ King Parish or to the American Red Cross for citizens of Ukraine.
