On June 26, 2025, the whippoorwills called Violet Huibregtse one last time for Violet to follow them home to her Lord.
Violet was born June 1937 to Benjamin and Lilia (Prinsen) Navis from Cedar Grove. Violet was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School and married to Norman Huibregtse in June 1955.
Violet spent a great deal of her life managing Pleasant View Nursery, where her love of flowers and the outdoors rooted.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Oostburg. Violet enjoyed club with the women she attended school with. Being a homemaker was a pleasure of hers. Violet was especially fond of the Christmas season and made it special for everyone. Violet dedicated her life to raising her family and always wanted to help them succeed.
Violet is preceded in death by her loving husband Norm, daughter Deborah, grandson Spencer and many of her family and friends.
Violet is survived by her children: Mike and Mary (Voskuil) Huibregtse, Mark and Patti (Gartman) Huibregtse, Randy and Lori (Meerdink) Huibregtse, Dennis Huibregtse and Dean Tracey, Dr. David and Dr. Patti (Huibregtse) Bradley; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her brother Virgil Navis.
There will be a private burial at a later date to be determined.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support in this difficult time and a special thank you to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
